FIATA Model Rules governing the forwarding activity
The rules were adopted on 2 October 1996 FIATA World Congress in Caracas (Venezuela ) . This document governs the relationship between FIATA forwarder and cargo . It does not apply to the freight forwarder relationships with carriers , which are regulated by the respective transport documents provided by national and international transport conventions , laws, statutes and regulations.

The multimodal transport FBL
In 1968 he developed the FIATA FBL - FIATA Multimodal Transport Bill of Lading (" multimodal transport bill of lading FIATA"), and in 1983 officially recognized the ICC FBL, as a document, a letter of credit acceptable in practice . Currently, FBL is one of the most commonly used combined transport documents in the world.
FBL transport document states that the goods are handed over to the carrier and indicates that the contract of carriage between the carrier and the shipper signed and the goods will be transferred to the consignee or owner of the FBL to the submission of this document.
